I studied Biology & Society and business at Cornell, focusing on the intersection between healthcare and public policy. After graduating, I worked at Tufts Medical Center in Boston before transitioning into product design. I co-founded Veeto to simplify legislative information and make it easier for constituents to participate in government. One of the things that frustrates me most as a designer is how unintuitive and frankly unpleasant existing legislative tracking tools are to use. Constituents – normal Californians – who can't spend thousands of dollars annually on enterprise-grade legislative tracking services are left at a significant disadvantage: it's challenging enough just to learn about and understand legislation, let alone become actively involved in the process. That's why I'm building Veeto – to give constituents a straightforward and impactful way to engage with policy decisions and push back against the disproportionate influence of lobbyists and special interests.
